Nanny,

There’s magic in that name,

I found her one day not long ago,

And I said hello,

I would love to get to know you,

She sent a note back,

She said,

This put a smile on my face,

And look at your loving and beautiful heart,

There was no need for her to stay,

But she did,

And everyday she puts a smile on my face,

Its just words,

But yet it helps me get through each new day,

I hope for a day we will meet face to face,

But for now her words do just as well,

Nanny,

I love you so,

I wish I was there to give you a hug when it is needed,

I wish I was there to put a smile on your face,

Who knows maybe I do that with the words I share with you each new day,

I hope for a day you and I are not in pain anymore,

Maybe it will be down here on earth,

Or,

Flying high with all the other angels up in heaven,

But for now you are a sweet friend of mine,

And Nanny I love you so.
