The Throwaway Children

The outdoor granite floor lasts until the edge of eternity

Leading to the giant walls which grants new fathoms

As the sun emerges in the morning we walk by candlelight

Our youth shines through to the onlookers at once bright

What is it that we hold inside our hearts that the end cannot?

Those fresh gardens of the renaissance now cluttered in dust

There is no measure in decades without those that turn to centuries

Our fear is what we wish to dissolve like the candle is extinguished

As the day grows closer it is obvious our skin is aging lines

The ever present markings of subtle touch that will form

As the hours which are taken for granted catch up to consequence

The result of the concentration and high threshold with earthly cycles

We seek to see through this mortal world some unknown pleasures

Walking feels like one minute through the haze of many years

Fashion, technology, science… it all passes us by on the exterior

Decades defined by images we will never know but that it existed

Motivated merely by the eternity that exists as an ideal in our mind

We are old now but seemingly those on the outside never change

The walls become apparent to the eye separated between is the void

It is thought that you must only face the walls with your ideal visions

Or the void will stare into your subconscious and unroot the unknown

On what plane will we exist if not the environment that we inhabit?

The two portals of dreams where silence creates sound converts

To images that the conscious isn’t aware of however the loophole

Results in an entirely new language of the visions we sacrificed

Ascending into life born out of one thrown away determined to live

We will experience love and raise children. We will see for the first time.

The light encapsulates our physical forms and total peace is known.

Two statues of eternal youth represent manifestations of life passed

They stay here at the bottom of this treacherous mountain

The water is the deepest of any bed in the world and impossible

To swim upward when you begin falling into the darkness

Though I am told along the walls as you sink you can see the reliefs

Which explains the mystery of existence and of the universe.
