Memories push against
The happy things and hopeful days
This smile it is fake
Behind it is the turmoil
The utter loneliness
The suffering that's never shown
I won't tell you why
I've promised myself that I won't cry
And I curse that silent tear
It isn't welcome here
Why does it pave the way
For more of its kin
Hold my head up high
They can't possibly know why
It's hard to still be bright
As I'm envoloped in this darkness
And I'm drowning inside
It is then that you save me
How do you always know
You always get it
Never question
The details are only pain
And the fact that you don't ask
Lets me live again
Love again
Lets me know that
One of these days
I'll find
What I've been looking for
And that there is still hope
