"You are unforgettable!"
I wanted to be remembered
but the ribbon of hope
that binded my strength
seemed to be unstrung
and falling out of place
falling down, down, down.
I was weightless as could be
weighted down as I waited around-
just another leaf on the tree.
Unforgettable like the memories we see
as autumn sheds off all she used to be.
A pile of comfort
fallen like the many other leaves,
a children's playground, relishing with excitement
as another falls to the scene.
And then there was me
all eyes can see
the last unfallen leaf
wondering, If I keep holding on
will I ever be free?
