another habit forms an addict

selfish, to rely on the stitch that holds the seams;

crippling at the knees, losing the light that sparks

another walk along the streets 

helpless to the way things could be

another toke to crack a joke

losing faith in humanity, lost within insanity

thriving to replace the fear of dying

crippling remorse, faith in a higher source

another conspiracy to believe

lost in time, when nothing feels right

another victim, captor creates the schism

locked into a life where disallusion reaps

another turns cold, casting figments into stone
