And there I stood
On the tenth story balcony
Heat in the air
sheer lack of humidity.
With my arms spread open
One free fall away from death
A shiver to my bones
Free of shame and humility.
I've never felt so real
Staring at history in the present moment
The Great Pyramids in front of me,
Being alone has never been so humbling.
One energetic song away from trembling
I sang my heart to the world
A language of my own tongue
Stranger on that balcony
Screaming with happiness
Freedom-I'm falling in love
One jump from meeting the Big Man above.
I'll never forget that moment
As the people stared up at me
I felt God
He saved me-
in essence I became
Free-Falling.
