Lightning flashes all around us
Thunder in the air
The rain making it hard to see
The storm’s brewing

Tears mix with the rain
Your headlights match the lightning
My hearts pounding with the thunder
A relationship comes to an end

I shiver in the cold
Trying to find any warmth left
After you took it with you
When you broke this heart of mine

Lightning forces me to take shelter
I hope you come back
I don’t remember you being this cruel
Thunder marks the storm heightening

A flash nearby
It sparks a fire in the forest
Right by me
Flames dance in front of me

Everything blurred together
I feel strong hands pick me up
My eyes are fixed on the fire
The rain isn’t helping

I’ve found your warmth again
You get out of there
To save me from the cold
