I lost myself
Spinning in kaleidoscope eyes
Caught with your smile
Pulling me in
I lost something that day
I think it was my cynicism
I offer myself to your will
Not knowing if you see me at all
My insides ache and my heart shakes
I deliberate, my mind is messy you confront my beliefs
I imagine we are free falling
Naked and clothes torn
We are as nature made us
Vulnerable yet strong
I guard my emotions like I’m a prisoner
I am locked in restraints
Love cast me out
And demanded I surrender to loves dictates
So I wear my smile as armour
My curves as a shield
My sexuality protects me and yet punishes me still
I need to touch and taste and tease
And yet beneath my demeanour
Lays a heart intrigued.
