"Believe Him"

"Beleive him....."

Don't sit there pouting acting like this is all his fault!

You're the one who let it get this far, ignoring all you were ever taught!

No man is an escape from independence and self love; you always knew better than that!

Why all of a sudden are you acting brand new and sheading tears over that obviously no good cat?!?

This didn't happen all of a sudden; you've had plenty of time to see him for who he is!

Blaming the end of your relationship all on him is pointless; even if the greater contribution is his!

Time after time you disregarded your gutt when you knew it was telling you to follow.

Now all of a sudden you expect sympathy for your stupidity, sorry that pill will be a little hard to swallow!

Moma always told you that actions speak louder than words and as far as you're concerned he's never said SH$T!

You chose to let him continue receiving your love inspite of him failing your trust even if you're ashamed to admit!

A hard body, handsome face, and boyish charm was your reason to reduce your standards and give him your undevided time.

You have to give him points...hell you'd to the same thing if you had more to gain than loose and playing a sucka isn't a crime!

All the games that were played didn't go unnoticed; hell you knew the rules long before you met him but let them continue!

Now you are upset and acting surprised that he's your trophy; but you're just another name amongst plenty on his menu!

He had baggage from the jump but you knowingly over looked commen sense and opened your arms to receive them!

Hopefully lonely nights and miserable days will prevent you from becoming a fool again the next time a man reveals himself and you don't beleive him!

Author's Notes/Comments:

Written In 2005 After going through a very emotional Roller Coaster with an older Guy I was trying to date whom initially was a gentleman but eventually became a jerk and revieled himself through action to be someone totally different than he lead me to believe when we first met but AFTER I had fallen in love with the ficticious character he pretended to be.
