The lonely pigeon
stands out to spectators
maybe because he feels different
within his own breed.
Maybe he needs some alone time
like we all do;
perhaps he is in a quarrel
with an enemy or a friend.
Stopped at a red light
I have a few seconds
to think about that bird
and why he is by myself on the wire.
