as if you had any control
over your tomorrows.

Well forever is here,
and you are long gone.

You said you loved me
then changed your mind.

You lied to me; 
I should've known
you'd leave me here.

I see you in pictures
and remember what we had.

Your laugh echoes
in my memory,
your smile engraved
in my thoughts.

I feel you forget me
and wonder what
could have been.

I wish I was
something you missed.
