My Broken Heart Through so many battles
in the war of love,
my armor gets stronger,
my skin gets thicker.
It's true that
hurt people, hurt people
but I'm healing
on the inside.
My tongue once had
a sharp edge,
but it's gotten
smoother with time.
On the exterior,
I've learned how to
hide the pain
as it seeps in.
But I cover my heart
with a shield;
I won't let them in
to damage it anymore.
