My weakness has been a blessing
all the years of my life.

This was all part of your plan;
You created me just as I am.

You kept me protected
from what my fragile heart
could not handle.

Blending into the shadows
sheltered me from heart-burn.

What they say is true
that You were with me
even in my loneliest night.

You held me in the darkness,
comforted me to sleep
like a loving parent.

Now I see that what I thought
was my shortcoming
was exactly as You intended.
