I have enough to satisfy me,
but I still expect more.
I pray for my daily bread
and some leaven on the side
to bake my own dough.
But my prepared banquets
did not compare
to your provisions
however meager.
For I never had my fill
when I tried to
satiate my hunger
by my own feeble hands.
I will not settle for the crumbs
of temporary pleasures
when I have loaves
of your manna
that quench all my desires.
