Golden

Folder:
Personal (Hope)

You’re falling apart tonight,
collapsing under the weight
of your shame.

You huddle in the corner,
curl up into yourself
and weep until it stops hurting.

You’re running away
from the shadows
that haunt you in the dark alleys.

You’re a broken soul
that’s been down
this road before.

You think you’re just a nobody,
but there’s a light
on the other side.

There is hope in the morning;
there is joy that beckons
with the dawn.

And when the golden glow
envelops you,
you will feel alive again.

You are loved, beautiful.
