I betrayed You with a kiss

where hostile lips

met loving cheek-

a bittersweet sentiment

from an unfaithful lover.

I whispered in Your ear

that I would never

reciprocate Your love.

I said I wanted You

out of my life forever.

Oh what a beautiful lie;

the truth is I could never

love You so unconditionally.

But You love me enough

for the both of us.

You loved me so much

that you gave Your life

to spend eternity with me.

So You turn Your cheek

and let me kiss the other:

Your forgiveness is unlimited.

Your mercy overflows.

Your grace is sufficient.

Your love completes me,

only You can make me whole.
