I've been facing my demons;
I've been residing in the past
to rewrite my future.

We are two deeply broken people
with baggage that weighs
heavy on our shoulders.

We are riddled with regret,
burdened with the pain
inflicted on us.

But together we can
overcome former hurts
and start the healing.

Oh the freedom
to be who we truly are,
what a revelation!

To become the best
version of ourselves,
what an epiphany!
