The Sunset of Summer

Folder:
My Broken Heart

I saw you on a warm day

in the middle of the summer.

Your smile drew me in;

your aura captured me.

You were the life of the party.

I was the girl that was

too shy to say a word.

Until we had parted ways.

Behind a computer screen,

I'm the bravest girl you've ever seen.

I never thoought you noticed me,

let alone want to know me.

You convinced me you did;

I believed you with everything in me.

You were my world that summer.

I could not think about anything else,

and maybe that's the problem.

Maybe that's why you left

me in the sunset of summer.
