When around a crowd singing,
so often I try to imitate
the tones I hear from others.
If the sounds are loud,
I attempt to raise my volume.
If the noise is off-key,
I adjust my pitch to match.
But I'm beginning to learn
how to find my voice.
It may be soft at times,
but it is worth listening to.
I'm starting to recognize
the uniqueness of my laughter,
the profundity of my words.
While I may not compare
to everyone else in all areas,
I still have something to offer.
