I'm watched you cry;

I've held you in the night

when you pleaded to keep

sleeping through morning.

I've seen you lose all hope

and forget how brave you are

to face tomorrow when

it will be a repeat of today.

But I'm urging you,

I'm begging you 

to find your courage

somewhere within.

You can do this;

there's fear in the pit

of your stomach,

but you're a fighter.

Let your darkness shine

for only honesty

can bring light to the world.

If you aren't accepted,

move on to the next

because you will find love 

only when you are real.

You think your heart

is painted black,

but I've heard your laugh

and it's the most vibrant

thing I've ever seen.

Show me that beautiful smile,

the one that brightens my day

and will do the same for 

all others who are blessed by it.
