There is no loss I could endure
that would rival losing you.

Our greatest tragedies
come from the place
of our deepest love.

My heart belongs to you
even while you rest
in the grave.

You were my whole world
and without you,
I find it hard to keep breathing.

But this heartbreaking ending
reminds me that
nothing lasts forever.

Everything has an expiration date,
and yours came unexpectedly.

And as time passes,
acceptance will come as well.

It may take weeks,
months or years,
but my heart will be restored.

I will once again
be open to love.
