Why do you turn your face?

Don't be ashamed of your tears.

(I don't want you to know
what breaks my heart
because then you'll
have the power to do so.)

I never want to hurt you
or be the reason you cry. 

(But I will anger you daily,
and you will cause me pain
without intending it.)

I wish I could be the one
to make you smile every day.

(I don't deserve to be happy;
I don't even know what
happiness looks like.)

My greatest joy would be
to hear your laugh.

(You are too good
to be with someone like me.)

I want to fall in love with you
if you only gave me a chance.

I am not worthy of your love.
My heart has suffered too much.)

I'm not going anywhere
unless you say the word.

a reason to leave everyday
so I'd rather you walked away
before I couldn't bare to let you go.)
