Personal (Hope) This life is downright suffocating;
it had me in a chokehold.
I felt like I was drowning,
a hopeless cause,
lost to the world.
But when I opened my eyes
just before I hit the ocean floor,
I was pulled out from the depths.
I was changed by the water,
transformed from the inside out-
soul to body.
It washed away the grime of sin
with the blood of Jesus.
