Tulips pt I: deprivations
Jack was nimble, Jack was quick,
He crawled under the candlestick,
Craws under his life, cringes to the sun,
Mr. Moon winks his left eye at me,
Brings the night to life,
As children dance to his prescence,
My night-cap is too small a fit,
i've lost my chance, chance for your vision,
I'm skipping supper's toil,
reaching dilly dally's harbour,
Sandman skips my house, buried in his burden
I smell the richness of insomnia,
The flavor of the starry blanket,
As the hours tick, my heels click, waking Mr. Moon,
But he has come blind to me,
I can't smell my childhood, I'm just a jar of marmalade,
My balloon can't hold my weight,
I'm grounded to magnetic time,
Never shall I fly, Never again,
Never under this sea of friendly clouds.
