Reason, War, & God
No longer do we do
our private soul searching.
Great upheavals occurring when
circimstances are ripe.
Our hatred rising from
further inflamed passions.
Our reaction swift and bitter.
That is not so now.
We still live
in the Age of Reason.
Marchin toward a
clash of arms,
we value reason over faith,
and yet we continue
our public duties.
The deep waters are
closing over us.
We are lost
in a blood bath
of war and mistrust.
Yet in the end,
all will find love,
truth, and justice.
For in God we trust.
