The Demon Calls
The demon from within calls out to me.
But we are not alone.
"Go away," I say.
"I've no time for you."
She is quite a moment,
then calls again.
I steal off to my secret place
where no one knows I exist.
She calls once more.
I let her out
and she tells me her plan.
"...We attack tonight," She says.
"Are you with me? I need you."
"Yes. Of course," I reply,
unsure if we'll succeed.
We encounter the enemy,
outnumbered and surrounded.
I release her as instructed
and allow her access to my powers.
The plan works
and together our power shines.
Great minds do think alike.
