Daddy Dearest

Isn’t your daddy supposed to be someone you can go to,

Someone you can talk with about all your fears.

The one that always has room for you,

On their lap.

The one that you can go to for all your problems,

No matter how small they may be.

Is this the man that you refer to,

The one that cherishes you so?

Daddy’s are supposed to make everything better,

Turn all your frowns upside down.

When you fail your at first,

He urges you on.

What about those who don’t have these “daddy’s”,

Who do they go to talk to when they need it?

What about when they are let down,

Do they just fall?
