Eid means happiness,

The eraser of remoteness,

Bringer of love,

This is Eid we know of.

Eid knows no discrimination,

The poor and the rich with mutual compassion,

Do appear embracing one another,

This is Eid where same we all are.

Eid represents the touch of smile,

Spreading like sunshine all the while,

It is a festival grand and dear,

This is Eid we wait for each year.

Eid refers to the reunification,

Of the hearts with passion,

It is a part of Islam,

This is Eid we heartily welcome.

Eid liberates the chained souls,

Keeps away from the evil roles,

It teaches us sympathy, charity and love,

This is Eid, a gift from above.
