My skin is black and I'm proud of it,
Born with it, and I live with it,
Being Negro makes me distinct,I love it
Thanks to the Creator, who made me.
Teach me what I may not know,
Give me what I may not have,
But to alter my skin, forget it,
My blackness is indelible,
My skin may be Black as charcoal,
And my hair as dark as Anything,
Even though I got black blood running,
My heart and my mind are white and pure.
I am no less than a person, I've got my worth,
I am not lazy or dull, I've got my work,
Neither am I out of touch, I know my world,
Nor am I lost in the globe, I have my ways.
So I cherish my unique peculiarity,
Am so proud of my historical blackness,
I appreciate my black historicity,
And like the spots of the leopard,
I can't change my Negrity, Never!
Say it loud, I'm Black and I'm Proud!" Stay proud, live long my brother in the Mother Land!
Always love unconditionally without reason, and may you give without taking. Abundant Love, Peace, Hugs, Kisses, Joy, and most of all Faith are yours!!!
