A thrill of excitement,
"Of course I do!"
How could I not?
Those are the words I've wanted to hear
But seldom ever do.
It's amazing to be included.
And especially this time
Because it's all of the kids
I've revered from afar,
Wishing I could be part of your inner circle.
"Those are the cool kids," I'd think
As I watch you all joke and have fun.
And now, somehow, I've been included;
I feel like the group has accepted me.
It's awesome, being able to hang out with your crowd
