It's a pretty day
pretty funny if you look at it right
And you might say
it's even prettier when it turns to night
Even though I do love to see the sun shine.
I have to wonder to myself
is everyone else's brain moving as fast as mine.
It's a crazy world.
Crazy like a fox out on the prowl.
And my head twirled
when I thought I heard a coyote howl.
It seems late. But it's only a little after nine.
And I have to wonder to myself
is everyone else's brain moving as fast as mine.
We analyze, then we criticize.
We pick someone apart, try to categorize.
But I apologize if I antagonize.
It's really something we don't need to advertise.
The shape of that cloud
is the shape of a heart up in the sky.
And I thought aloud,
maybe it's a sign from on high.
I'd rather be here
then anywhere this side of the Mason Dixon line.
And I have to wonder to myself
is everyone else's brain moving as fast as mine.
I'm content now.
Content like Buddha sitting by a tree.
And I won't allow
the little things to ever get to me.
I was invited
but I had to politely decline
And I have to wonder to myself
is everyone else's brain moving as fast as mine.
