A couple months ago I met an intelligent, unique girl.
Last night we stayed up late talking about changing the world.
Flinging ideas around like they were wadded up pieces of paper.
And for a little while all the evil on earth disappeared like vapor.
Life looks different depending on which lens you’re looking through.
And I had a great time last night just talking to you.
You’re one interesting person and I did learn quite a bit.
You’re destined to be a leader someday so don’t you ever quit.
Some people try to be mainstream, they use it as a crutch.
Maybe ignorance truly is bliss and we just know too much.
Conversation isn’t always easy, most people don’t have a clue.
But I had a great time last night just talking to you.
We don’t live in the here or the now, we live in the in-between.
Both of us have learned a lot from all of the things that we’ve seen.
When you look at life really hard you never know what you might find.
It’s tough to live the perfect balance of body, spirit, and mind.
Sometimes I think anyone could change the world if they wanted to.
And I had a great time last night just talking to you.
Maybe I should have kissed you, but I think about the times I’ve been burned.
It would kind of be a shame if these lessons were something I actually learned.
It’s probably better to just move on and forget about the past.
It’s nice to believe that there is a thing as love that can somehow last.
Maybe someday I’ll jump in again, maybe I’ll start anew.
But I had a great time last night just talking to you.
Hey Jerry... another awesome one. Great job. This one really touched me.
