Unbalanced Equation

All the things I'd love to say,

Slipped into the water that night,

Heading towards the ocean floor,

Liesurely drifting from sight,

Every hope and every dream,

You watched it crumble by,

Bringing with each trembling breath,

Receding desires to cry,

Embers will fade silently,

Anguished hearts will mourn,

No way could we know,

No way to forewarn,

Each grain sifting through your fingers,

Sands scattered to the wind,

Plummeting to my like,

Remaining forever chagrined,

In the essence of people,

Nothing's quite what it seems,

Giving too much too soon,

Ends in bursting seams,

Trying to falsify feelings,

Tries to falsify dreams.
