Patience is a Virtue

You tell me to wait,

So that's what I do,

But is it my fate,

To wait here for you?

The time passes by,

The clock ticks life away,

The sun falls in the sky,

But what price do I pay?

The price is so high,

You can't get it back,

And though I don't cry,

It's not that I lack,

The sorrow it takes,

To show this emotion,

But the tears that it makes,

Don't show the devotion,

That goes into waiting,

So quiet and long,

But when it is fading,

I see I was wrong,

For the waits not what makes me,

Feel how I do,

Cause now I can see,

It's to be without you.
