Christmas Spirit
Christmas, the smell of pine tree, and the apple and ginger deodorant of my house are things that make you feel the holiday. The cold weather and using the biggest coat because of the cold are essential for this happy day. My mother’s favorite holiday I believe. Every year my house is decorated from top to bottom, from corner to corner. From November to part of January my house is beautifully decorated. My mother adores putting up trees, and decorations with all sort of Christmas ornament. Every year (LITERRALY) every year she buys a new decoration, what she likes the most are collecting elves. I know kind of strange but she loves, having elf’s of different sizes, some big, some small, and any size type you can think of. My mother starts getting all of her decorations out by the end of October and since those days she starts decorating. You can see the passion put into her work. Sometimes some of us help her, and I really love helping her, I mostly decorate the Christmas tree, which is huge, and the yard. Looking for the three is something we do as a family, eating churros, and corn when we go to the “ Feria del Arbol” is part of my Christmas. Nothing compares to our house. Every elf, Santa Claus and reindeer has a place my mother designs for it, she sometime puts presents so the elves sit there, or balls. My father has this joke about the elves that he tells in Christmas that is really funny. He says, “ I wake up on the morning sunrise and when I get out of my room I start saying hello to everyone.” (Referring to the elves), he says this joke in a really funny way that everyone in my family laughs. Every one who enters is astonished by everything. Even on our yard there are decorations. One time a mother and a little girl came to our house (randomly) they nocked on our door and they just stopped to say that our house was beautifully decorated and that the little girl every time they passed was fascinated. When my mother heard that she became so happy, because other people loved our house. Our holiday is the merriest of all, since you feel the spirit of Christmas when you enter the front door. Without my mothers decoration I would not feel it’s Christmas yet.
