Another "second chance" for humans
It was another regular day, the sun raised up at 7:00 am, the clock’s alarms sounded in all the town and everyone was getting ready to get to work. But then the earth started to shake in half separating America from all other countries. All the lights went off, there were no more birds, dogs, cats or any other animal near the place, the sun hid, the oceans, lakes and rivers started to drain like if someone had open a giant hole in the bottom of them and every single human was scared and screaming; and then, suddenly, appeared a strange figure in the dark. Some said it was an alien, others said that it was an angel or a demon, someone said it was a god, some others said that it was from the future and a few ones said that it was only a regular human. But when that thing opened his mout and remove the coat that had over his face, they all realized that it was sort a half-human half-cougar. Everyone freaked out, when the strange figure could talk and they could understand him.
And the first word that the creature said was: “Death”, and continued: “Death is what you are all going to have at the end of the day”. Everyone started to scream and to ask him who was he and why he was saying that. The figure respond: “I am a protector”. So someone asked him: “If you are our protector, ¿why are you telling us that we all are going to die? And he replied: “Because it doesn’t mean that I’m your protector, it means that I’m who takes care of mother nature, and you are destroying it. They all asked for a second chance but he respond: “You’ve had a lot of second chances but it seems that you humans are never going to change”. Then, some other human told him, if you had gave us so many chances, why we don’t know what are you talking about, there were no advertisements, no warnings, no nothing. And the protector got mad and screaming said: “There were no warnings!?, what about global warming?, what about the tsunamis, storms, earthquakes and all the natural disasters!?, who do you think is the responsible for that? Are you going to blame the government about this as well?
The Earth is coming to its end and all because of you. You can’t even take care of your home, how do you expect to take care of the one that you love?, how do you expect to live in peace and without wars?
Then some kid stood up and scream: “You are right, we’ve been blind and we didn’t care about all those signs. We are sorry, or at least I am, and I ask you as the protector of mother nature for one more chance, and it will be the last one. If we fail again, you can come again and kick us out of the Earth. We can handle this. If we made all these things to the Earth, let us be the ones who repair it. We will change, we will take other measures to deal with this and we will save our home”.
After these words the protector smiled and said: “There is your savior, who will not only save your planet, but has alredy saved all of you”. And he disappeared.
The humans now don’t throw anything, they recicle the most they can, they take care of their home, because we must fight for a better world in our homes if we want to see a difference in the whole world. So try to leave this world in better conditions that you found it.
