Fruitless

I will have no legacy
Chock it up to jealousy
My ashes are meaningless
A small space of nothingness

Come in and enjoy the flames
The world and it's wicked games
Let's sit by and watch it pass
One by one and en masse

(Chorus)
And it's so relieving
To see the world retreating
No more conceiving
To a life so defeating
It's all in perceiving
Do you care that I'm fleeting?
No one will be grieving
It's all so relieving

And when the world will perish
There's nothing left to cherish
I'm just another dead end
Of the tree meant to ascend

Overall it's a good thing
Terrible as it should sting
I won't create the mistake
To spawn a life of heart ache

(Chorus)
And it's so relieving
To see the world retreating
No more conceiving
To a life so defeating
It's all in perceiving
Do you care that I'm fleeting?
No one will be grieving
It's all so relieving

(Bridge)
No more fruit falls from the tree
My bittersweet parody

(Chorus)
And it's so relieving
To see the world retreating
No more conceiving
To a life so defeating
It's all in perceiving
Do you care that I'm fleeting?
No one will be grieving
It's all so relieving

My first poem in many years. I really like it. Has a good flow for a song
