This is not what I had in mind,
I wished to lighten his soul,
But instead he destroyed mine,
How could someone so troubled,
Be so cold?
The ice within,
Was stronger than I could have been,
I failed,
I fell for his betrayal,
Because of this heart,
I can't break apart,
From a haunted soul,
With a spirit so low,
I feel their pain,
Around me as a chain,
I can't stop,
Until my heart is at its end,
When forced to drop,
made to love,
burdened to feel,
By those who use it to steal.
