Hunting Wolf

As told by my grandpa, Wolf would eat everything within sight and try to save some on his back. Only to eat the food anyways.
He also spoke about Wolf eating the Moon when it was whole. Then whine about it being dark until the Moon would appear full again.
It is by nature Wolf would swallow the Moon Pearl from the clams and oysters.
Primal instinct when Raven went for the pearl.
After the squabble with Raven, Sun Thief, Wolf returned to the forest.
Casted out from the wolf clan by the new alpha, and on his own he went northward to the mountain's solitude.
During his track north, he felt alone and hungry. He would eat and eat until he continue his northward track.
He would pause every so often to enjoy the Wind petting his fur. Tears at the thoughts of having left his love behind. Leaving his home behind. The alpha's ruling fist was a blunt force trauma.
He finds himself alone on a beach. No more land to travel. He eats but gets sick again.
This time, the Moon Pearl appears. Wolf looks at it in awestruck wonder. He is exhausted and giving up.
A snout pushes against his shoulder. Then he feels a warm body settling next to him.
"My love, do not give up just yet." She takes the pearl to wash in the salt water.
She returns to her mate and places the Moon Pearl between his shoulders.
In magic, a blue woman appears and wraps both of the wolves in her arms. She brings them to realm of the stars. Her magic fuses the wolf with the Moon Pearl and fulfills his hunger. His mate remains beside him.
Whenever Raven gets too close to the Moon she howls to warn her Alpha. Together they work to keep the Moon among the stars. Once in a while Alpha gets hungry and will eat Moon. The Beta will make him spit back out what he has eaten.
This how Hunting Wolf came to carrying Moon on his back and his clan of unique wolves became the Moon Keepers.
This storey was inspired by my the stories Grandpa Pug would share to us children and my imagination.
