Deaf beat roaring around my moans
A cacophany, my saddened screams unsound
deliberate wretchedness to sate the curious hunger
impaling vileness to pacify slumber
I'm a being not a man
so you want nothing to do with it
cast aside
kicked apart like brittle autumn leaves
yet i'm still discreet
humble in my speech
this kings crown does not melt into his flesh
for therein lies a lack of heat
so until I stock the fire again
I will lie frozen
a smile in place
enlightening my face
