Dear You,
Hello. I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Kym Cardashian, nice to meet you. Ops, I meant, I'm Bonnita.
I know we've never really formally met, but I've heard many good things about you. I've been looking forward to meeting you.
Dear Sister,
I'm sorry for the misrepresentation of Christ by my fellow humans. Make no mistake, God loves you, He has not forsaken you, He has not turned from you. There are many things in the bible, the stories have aged, they have grown. My God is not the God of hate. I don't know a jesus that teaches his people to hate, in his name. It makes me sad that they turn so many people against God with their bad behavior. Souls that could have found love and peace without living like a tortured soul.
Dear Brother,
The God I know, He may not agree with everything we do, but his love never changes. Some have taken Gods beautiful words and love for us and changed them into things that have caused wars, hate and death. Then, they taught us to hate the God that gives us our every need. Lord, teach us humbleness for humanity.
We are supposed to love each other, support each other, stand together to make the world a better place, not a battle space.
Dear Mom,
As for Christianity, I can understand how some can make one turn away from God over trivial things when there's so many more important things to focus on besides each others business. People are different. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I had been born blind. Never seeing anything about a persons outside, only the inside.
Dear Dad,
There are so many people that have perfect vision, yet are so blind in sight.
I would love to live in a world where we are accepted for who we are, the color our skin .. A place where an outer difference is as important to everyone as substance to who they really are on the inside. I know things get trapped inside and it feels really out of control and you react out of anger at the people who hurt you, and teach yourself to push everyone else away. Walking around with that weight that feels so heavy, it makes life feel not worth it.
Dear Me,
Lay it down. I know it wont be easy and even if you can't lay it down all at once, or permanently, then lay it down for a minute, and just breath. You can be happy, but first you will feel stronger. Everyone has hardships in life, and that's OK but, every day, lay that burden down for just a minute longer. Jesus will hold it for you and he will fix your mess, straighten up your bed, listen to your worries and tuck you in at night. Before it's too late, talk to Him.
Dear World,
I'm sorry for the misrepresentation of Christ by my fellow humans. Make no mistake, God loves you, He has not forsaken you, He has not turned from you.
Hello, I'm Bonnita, I'm a Christian. It was a pleasure to meet you.
