These words
still bother me.
Because when they are said
it means:
get ready to be offended.
For whatever reason,
we will have those times
where words are spoken
or said where we
not agree with the author.
The words bring no solace
to what will be said.
Sometimes the warning
is only mentioned in passing,
not meaning anything at all.
The person might share strong opinions,
and will not care how it affects you.
Instead they share the phrase,
as if it will dampen the wounds
the words causes.
But that is far from the truth.
Offense will be taken,
the question remains,
how much weight are the words
of those who offend you?
