Nearing the End
A few words,
is all it takes
to drive me over the edge.
My patience is wearing thin,
my love has left,
my heart calloused.
I am worn,
beaten,
left in despair.
I have succumbed
to the humanity of this world.
I tried for so long to
fight against the grain.
Not giving into to despair,
holding onto hope.
But the endless waves
of cruelty,
malicious and unforgiving
ways of man,
Have left me in laying
in ruin.
What have you done to me?
