Reason for Greed

My thoughts
I would like to say
my life never revolved around money.
A little green (or alot) really
made a man.
But for me, the only reason
I pursue to a degree is not
for selfish ambition.
It has nothing to do
with living a lavish life.
It wouldn't hurt to live comfortably
I agree to that.
But my motive was for another reason:
financial security.
And it wans't even something I
wanted for myself.
But for the sake of another,
someone who would want to be with me.
To support a wife and family,
if ever blessed with that.
There's no other reason for me to have it,
but for that one purpose.
The reasoning for my greed.
