The things we desire these days
the trivial things,
those petty things.
The desirables,
admirable traits,
those features
that look all so good.
But are they truly great,
do the they say something
that they are not?
Why do we seek these things?
Those things that pass away,
the outer being that fades.
Those features soon
become bleak when we see
the inside,
It's not as good as we had hoped.
