The doubt of who is going to keep the big jewel of the family, the best representation of the family bond; my grandmother’s ring. This representative jewel means a lot to the whole family but especially to my grandma. It is not just a gold ring; it has an antique important piece for her, an old coin. She made this ring when she was very young and this has never been anywhere else but in her hand. At Christmas, her wedding, New Year, the first birth of her son until the last she wore this ring in order to have good luck and joy. But luck is not the thing that makes this ring special either the fact that the ring is actually a coin, what she loves about this ring is looking at the cent hanging on his finger while lots of memories cross in front her eyes. One of these was the wind running into her face, feeling the sea round her feet while she was marrying the love of her life, other one was saying good bye to him. Not all of these moments were so good but all of them were unique. What makes everyone want to have this big piece of her is because all of us are surprised about that irreplaceable look she does when she is looking at the ring. All of the family wants to feel those emotions she just felt by looking at the coin. This makes me think that an insignificant thing as a ring or a coin could have more value than any other expensive thing. But who will have the privilege to have the experience that my grandmother had for years? She says that the one who shows less interest on superficial things as money, a houses, a car, purses, shoes, or anything else that could be bought by money and actually paid more attention at what everything that is around us for example, family, friends, anything that could be converted into memories will make that person be able to have the coveted jewel that has an invaluable price. She is the only one who knows who is going to keep it, but she likes keeping the mystery to teach a lesson to all of her granddaughters. Finally we know that this jewel cannot be bought by money, this can only be bought by actions and humility. By doing this the ring will be on your hands.
