The wind inside my mind
Tornadoes at times
It's calm and cool this time
You cross my mind

When I think of you
And not the things
Some other people do
I end up here

Floating on a thought
That sails through me
Through soft clouds whose reflections float on the water

I see your running and laughter
On the shore and I set course
I know I'm not allowed to get there
But I love to get as close as..

Touch my face to the glass and
Smudge my breathe as
The temperature changes
One last glance before the front's changing

The wind inside my mind
Tornadoes at times
It's calm and cool this time
You cross my mind

And while I think of you
And not the things
Some other people do
Some other people do
Like they did to you
I end up there

And where you are, I don't know
I imagine it, though
And sometimes I feel you here
Get as close as I can get
Till I hit the glass
Till life's winds sweep in
Change the course
They're hardly always cruel
Other than that
They remove me from the view
Like some removed you
From this world
