Every color, every bruise

Every scar I remember too

It's been a long time

Since I've laid eyes on you

But the memory of your shape

To my mind will never escape



I can visualize every line

That makes up your face

Every shadow the sun creates

At any time of the day

Seeing the smile on you portray

That joy will never fade



If I could sketch the sound

Of your heart beat

Or capture the emotion

When you cry

I'd be here all night

But you're worth the time



If I could make it happen

Instead of living a dream

And show you how much

You mean to me

It'd be the best thing yet
