I used to lay wondering about you
A smile widened across my face
Nothing more I wanted to do
Than feel your arms embrace.

I used to think you were the one
Day dreaming like a small child
Thinking in you were the only man,
Feeling your love so mild.

I used to believe I couldn't go on
Without you here by my side
That I could never be alone
That our hearts would collide.

Then I laid wondering about you
Tears falling from my eyes
Knowing you felt the pain too
Too stubborn to say goodbyes

Then I thought about our life
And how long you were away
Still wanting to be your wife
Just waiting until that day

Then I believed we were through
And our love came to an end
Long before you ever knew
That is how it all begin.

Now I lay wondering about another
My heart burdened so heavily
Wanting to remove the steel amour
And let my heart open to he.

Now I think about my future
Looking so bright and shining in
Knowing you're like a vulture
Evil showing in your very grin.

Now I believe in myself like I should
My life hopeful, sometimes barely
Making it alone, I know I could
On your own, I hope you're happy.
