Graduation Nears

»This poem is for Beth, my best friend no matter what happens«

Graduation nears, Friends fall apart

Somehow, they're still in our hearts

We soon go on and have no doubt

Having no clue what life planned out.

Graduation nears, Tears fall from my eyes

Suddenly, it all comes clear and I realize

You won't be here next year

To chase away my fear.

Graduation nears, You're still my friend

Up until the very end

You'll be with me, here in my heart

Forever you and I won't part.

Graduation nears, I won't say good-bye

Those words only makes my cry

So, I'll say "See you later.  Call me tonight

And email me to tell me you're alright."

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this for my best friend, Beth, who is graduating.
I've known her for about 10 years now.

This poem was inspired by "Graduation (Friends Forever)" by: VitiamC...
Beth made me listen to that today.
I can't tell her good-bye.
She's been my friend since I first started school.

It's going to be EXTREMELY lonely without her.
